DIAMOND DISCS
WILOFA® FLEXICUT
WILOFA® Flexicut diamond blades are the result of ambitious development work and proven performance in the field. A special heat treatment gives the stainless steel high flexibility and resilience. A special diamond coating on the cutting edges makes the blade exceptionally sharp and stable.
WILOFA® FLEXICUT BRINGS CERAMICS TO THEIR BEST
Proven in practice: WILOFA® Flexicut diamond blades have been tested on veneering ceramics from VITA, Dentsply, Ducera, Dentaurum, 3M Espe, Heraeus,
Ivoclar-Vivadent, and Shofu.
Here is a user review: “The WILOFA® Flexicut diamond blade is ideal for separating and contour grinding fused ceramic veneers. Its edge stability and cutting power are so exceptional that it can even be used to separate sintered zirconia ceramics.” Master Dental Technician Bernhard Stoll, Ispringen
WILOFA® diamond blades pass the “zircon test”
Contouring layered fused ceramics such as VITA VM9 on oxide ceramic frameworks or on VMK crowns and bridges is a task best suited for fine-grained, flexible diamond discs. But be careful: Weakly diamond-coated disc edges wear out quickly, cause localized overheating with black discoloration on the bisque-fired workpiece, and create microcracks in the ceramic structure.
This leads to subsequent veneer fractures. Experienced dental technicians make no compromises here, as the surface quality of the fusing ceramic is a decisive factor in clinical durability.
